Christina Bakewicz, currently the Business Services Coordinator for RochesterWorks!, has assumed a new role for the Finger Lakes Region as a Small Business Resource Specialist for RochesterWorks!

Christina will be dedicated full-time to a U.S. Department of Labor pilot project called the National Business Information Clearinghouse (NBIC). The project will support the startup and growth of entrepreneurial businesses. The NBIC web portal will be designed to provide quality and relevant business information that will assist entrepreneurs in their search for appropriate resources in our nine county region.

Christina will continue to work with the Business Services Team at RochesterWorks! 255 North Goodman Street offices. She will be responsible for understanding the local business/entrepreneurial initiatives within the Rochester/Finger Lakes Wired region, and developing relationships with local public and private economic development entities and entrepreneurial resource centers.

The overall goal in working with the National BIC Team is to make local resources more accessible to the business community.

Christina brings more than 10 years of business experience to her new role. She assumed her new responsibilities effective July 8, 2008.
