December 22, 2010 - The holidays are a tough time to be without work, but it's also a good time to find a job. RochesterWorks! held a workshop Wednesday to teach job seekers how to prepare for a career conference that's coming up in January.
10NBC - Unemployment rate hits 26-year high July 2, 2009 - Sharon Bastian got laid off from her job as a marketing research analyst in Philadelphia about a month before her husband took a new job in Rochester. Today she was in a mock interview session at Rochester Works, the local agency that receives federal job training money for the Rochester area. “I've been here about two months. And it's been an interesting experience being in the job search mode for the first time in ten years.”
